The planning for Cycle 4 of the Active Transportation Program continues. In our last E-News, we mentioned concerns we shared with our partners about the move of the ATP Public Health Question to a new section (Statement of Need). Following the quarterly meeting of the ATP Technical Advisory Committee in late January, it was decided that questions pertaining to Public Health would remain in the Statement of Need, but will have a total of 9 dedicated points and will require detailed responses as to the specific local challenges communities face, and how the proposed project will address them. We are satisfied with this compromise, and worked with our allies to propose language for the questions and scoring rubrics. We look forward to seeing how they are incorporated in the final draft applications which will be released later this month.
