The Fresno Council of Governments has issued a call for projects for the Regional Sustainable Infrastructure Planning Grant Program (SIPGP). It is a simultaneous call for 2017-18 (cycle 1) and 2018-19 (cycle 2). The grants were called for in the adoption of the 2014 RTP but were not funded at the time, and now SB 1 funding is being used to support the program. Grant objectives are to encourage local and regional multimodal transportation and land use planning that furthers the region’s RTP SCS, contributes to the state’s GHG reduction targets, and addresses the needs of disadvantaged communities. The deadline is April 6.
