1. Save the Date for the 2024 Safe Routes to School National Conference!

Did you hear that Safe Routes Partnership will host the 2024 Safe Routes to School National Conference in Fort Collins, Colorado at the Fort Collins Hilton from October 22-24, 2024? Save the date and prepare to connect with fellow active transportation, public health, and Safe Routes champions from across the country. 2. Now Hiring: Communications Manager

The Safe Routes Partnership is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented marketing professional with excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills to join our team as the Communications Manager. This role is responsible for leading the Safe Routes Partnership’s internal and external communications including online messaging, publication design, website updates, press releases, and fund development campaigns.  Learn more about this position and apply by January 12, 2024.


3. Two Years in to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law: A Reflection on State Implementation of the Transportation Alternatives Program

Over the past two year, states have made great strides in the implementation of the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP). This month’s federal policy blog celebrates the significant transformations brought about by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and explores their effects on the implementation of TAP across various states. 4. Quarterly State of States TAP Implementation for the End of FY23

Fiscal year 2023 has come to a close, and we have analyzed the states' implementation of the Transportation Alternatives Program. While states are mostly doing a fabulous job awarding and obligating the massive amounts of new money from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, five states transferred funds out of the program, even with the new requirements that should serve as a deterrent to doing so. 5. Native American Heritage Month Reminds Us to Learn the Stories of Our Communities

Even though Native American Heritage Month ended in November, it is never too late to learn and build our awareness of the deepest history of our places.
