You’ve been asking for it -- and we are so excited to announce that for the first time since 2019, Safe Routes Partnership is hosting an in-person Safe Routes to School National Conference!
The 2024 Safe Routes to School National Conference will be held in Fort Collins, Colorado at the Fort Collins Hilton from October 22-24, 2024. Save the date and prepare to connect with fellow active transportation, public health, and Safe Routes champions from across the country. The Safe Routes to School National Conference will be a fantastic opportunity to network, share best practices, and explore the vibrant city of Fort Collins, a Platinum-level Bicycle Friendly Community!

Call for Proposals - Deadline Extended! (Due March 25 – 11:59pm PT)
Proposals will be accepted for panels, presentations, hands-on workshops or trainings, round table discussions, and other formats. Proposals can focus specifically on Safe Routes to School and/or the broader field of active transportation. As we craft a conference program that elevates innovation and inspires attendees to action, we have developed five programmatic themes to guide proposal development and submission. The themes are:
- Implementing Safe Routes to School with Equity at the Forefront
- Sustaining the Journey: Equitable Funding, Policy, and Planning
- Pathways to the Future: Technology, Data, and Innovation
- Safe Routes Everywhere
- Uncharted Routes: Creative Solutions
