The City of Stockton is going through a process of updating the General Plan. A series of workshops were held in the city last month in which community members raised issues such as the understandability and accessibility of the plan process, and impacts on elderly and disadvantaged communities. Advocates have been weighing in on the plan, and have succeeded in getting the plan to address public health. The Planning Commission will take action on the general plan on October 25. The Safe Routes Partnership is joining advocates working in the city to make comments.
