Our partners at the National Center for Safe Routes to School lead the Bike & Roll to School Day celebration each spring. This event is a chance for schools and communities to come together and encourage children to safely bike and roll to school while building healthy habits and stronger connections. The first-ever national Bike & Roll to School Day took place on May 9, 2012, in coordination with the League of American Bicyclists’ National Bike Month. Since then, the movement has grown across the country. Today, thousands of schools in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico participate each May, celebrating safe and active travel to school.
We’re excited to support this effort by offering resources, webinars, and more to help schools and communities join the movement. Check back often for new materials, ideas, and tools to make your event a success.
