Learn How to Submit a Competitive Active Transportation Program Application

Hundreds of applications were submitted for the recent Cycle 4 of the Active Transportation Program (ATP), and only a small percentage will be successful.  Our new publication, California’s Active Transportation Program: A Step-by-Step Guide to the Application Process, can help you work through the process. This 22-page document offers a road map to all five application categories of the ATP in a digestible form. The ATP is highly competitive, and preparing and submitting projects is very time consuming, which can deter under-resourced communities from applying. This guide is intended to make the process of identifying a project and applying for ATP funds more approachable, and to offer insight into best practices that can make applications more competitive. Take a look now and start thinking about and planning for your Cycle 5 application!
